Aged parents are left behind to care for themselves as adult children leave Romania and Moldova in search of employment. They become wards of the state, often with inadequate food or clothing. By joining hands with our partners, almost one thousand abandoned elderly at three homes receive food supplements, warm winter clothing and blankets, and regular visitation. The Cazacu children are among the many Christian visitors in the GMI network who leave behind a gentle kiss, a song or poem.
