Through FARMS International small businesses are being established by Christian families to enable them to be self-sufficient in these poor eastern European nations. Joblessness caused millions of people to flee to other nations to seek work. Among those were the young and educated who held the key to economic recovery for the nations. FARMS offers small loans to entrepreneurs. After the business becomes successful, the loans are repaid and another family is helped. In partnership with GMI, many families have been stabilized. Businesses such as mushroom, chicken or honey bee farms have been started.
