There are currently 10,000 villages in Romania and Moldova where no evangelical churches exists.  The majority of the population in these nations resides in the villages. GMII uses a variety of strategies to provide a place for believers to worship and study the Word of God.  God has given the ministry a goal of establishing 60 churches.

Many house churches have outgrown their meeting space, but joblessness makes it impossible for them to complete a structure without help to buy materials.  GMII partners furnish that help.

Houses are being remodeled to include large meeting spaces. These churches such as the one in Tiberica-Moloseni, Moldova (shown above) also serve as homes to national missionaries who adopt orphans into their families.
Orphans are placed in the Homes of Hope, such as Boris shown here getting ready to go to school.
The house is still under construction.
The roof was completed this fall.
“After 15 years of prayer in a crowded house, a quality structure was built in the village of Stefanesti, Romania.  Sixty believers gather here to worship the Lord.”
“Missionaries in training at the GMII-sponsored Bible school are being prepared for church planting in Moldova, Transnistria, and Ukraine.”
This is the house church of one of our National Missionaries.
“Crowded conditions in this house church in Fundeanu, Romania, made it difficult for the Pastor to minister as the church grew. Weather permitting, they met outside.”
“GMII partners remodeled the house to seat 50 and enable church growth.”
“Partners provided the resources to complete the restoration of this multi-purpose facility in Zirnesti-Cahul, Moldova. It is the only evangelical church in the area. This centrally located church also serves as a conference center to train the National Missionaries.
“The first Christian family in Barboiene, Moldova, suffered great persecution. They stood firm, the church grew, and GMII helped them replace their church tent with a concrete building.”
