There are currently 10,000 villages in Romania and Moldova where no evangelical churches exists.  The majority of the population in these nations resides in the villages. GMI uses a variety of strategies to provide a place for believers to worship and study the Word of God.  God has given the ministry a goal of establishing 60 churches.

Many house churches have outgrown their meeting space, but joblessness makes it impossible for them to complete a structure without help to buy materials.  GMI partners furnish that help.

After 15 years of prayer in a crowded house, a quality structure was built in the village of Stefanesti, Romania.  Sixty believers gather here to worship the Lord.
“Missionaries in training at the GMI-sponsored Bible schools are being prepared for church planting in Moldova, Transnistria, and Ukraine.”
Crowded conditions in this house church in Fundeanu, Romania, made it difficult for the Pastor to minister as the church grew. Weather permitting, they met outside.
GMI partners remodeled the house to seat 50 and enable church growth.
Partners provided the resources to complete the restoration of this multi-purpose facility in Zirnesti-Cahul, Moldova. It is the only evangelical church in the area. This centrally located church also serves as a conference center to train the National Missionaries.

Early in 2009, two GMI sponsored national missionaries evangelized the village of Terebna, Moldova.  The congregation grew rapidly and they dedicated their new church building in November of 2009.
